Well, since the staff at my school have begun to create their own blogs, they are starting to ask me questions about how to do certain things. That’s great , because it’s making me find out as I often don’t know myself. That’s the beauty of technology, you learn together.
Mrs Johns kindly allowed me to embed this video on my blog that her students in grade one made on the IWB using 2Create A Story. They are really enjoying using the program and collaborated to make this wonderful presentation about the Horsham Kanamaroo. It was quite easy to place this in my blog and I am sure you will soon see more interesting stories from the Grade One students in their class blogs, check them out on my Blogroll.

Hi Everyone,
I  promised my students’ that I would try and publish some of their work as they are eager to share it with family and friends. So they should too! They have worked so hard and achieved so much, they are very proud of their results.
The year 6 students were working on Pivot animations before the holidays. The students had to save the final product as a Gif. file so that they could import them into windows movie maker to edit them into these final wonderful productions. I’m afraid we didn’t have as much time as the students would have liked…they had grand plans!
The year5 students created some informative Literature Reviews in Powerpoint.
Years 3 & 4 are discovering new skills every week in Kahootz (so am I!) They are eager to spend a few more weeks on them.
Year Two students finished off their class theme by publishing their own recipes. Here is Matthews, Dawson’s , andTiana’s .They are becoming quite competent with their basic formatting skills, well done.
Year one students created some personalisedbookmarks. Have a look at  Braydens Georgia’s,  Harley’s  and Kyla’s, and they learnt how to format pictures at the same time.
Well, preps just love Targeting Maths and it looks spectacular on the Interactive Whiteboard, especially the skiing game, you feel like you’re really out on the slopes!
I hope you enjoy viewing the students’ work, and let them know what you think by leaving a reply.

Hi Everyone,
What’s been happening in class this week?
Well in year 6 we have been dabbling with simple animations and I found some excellent freeware which was perfect to start them off as well inspire their imaginations! It’s called Pivot. Have a look at some student work samples.
Year 5 students have nearly completed entering all their information for their lit review on a powerpoint presentation and I am begining to teach them new skills to add to their repetoire. I would like to ensure that they include buttons, hyperlinks and animate their shows. I have found the IWB a good tool to use for those students who need extra support. They work on their reveiw together and save them separately in their own files. They can then make individual changes to make it their own.
Kahootz is making a comeback in year3& 4. I am incorporating their theme of  Plantlife and the Environment respectively with a kahootz competition and hope to see some creative and inspiring Expressions! The students are certainly excited about it. It also serves as a meaningful assesment tool for their work unit.
Year 1 & 2 students have worked extremely hard this year focussing on retrieving their saved work from files, logging on and off, and spending time formatting documents in Word. I think the Year Two students were very proud of their menus and the Grade One students of their bedroom door signs. They are now enjoying learning to use the educational software on our server, learning how to create their own accounts and navigate their way around various learning games.
Preps have come a long way and are really showing progress with thier fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, they are beginning to master the mouse! Double clicking was a challenge for many too! They enjoy perfecting their skills in Paint, Kidpix and Targeting Maths 1. Small groups particularly enjoy using the IWB for these activities.
