Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my page. I would like to share all the wonderful things I learnt about at the ICTEV conference on the weekend. I hope to provide you with some useful information and resources to use in the classroom and for your own professional development. I encourage you to make a comment and share your ideas for others to see, and be inspired by.
John Pearce presented Edublogs, and here I am having my first go! I have provided some valuable resources, such as a tutorial for creating a blog in Edublogs & Globalteacher that John shared with us. This blog of John’s may be useful for teachers.
My next session was to learn how to use the free software Monkey Jam to create animations and use them in Movie Maker to produce movies. This was quite easy and would be great for students to use lego or plasticine to create small animations for maths or literature. Here are some more useful links provided by John Pearce, Photostory and Moviemaker.
Finally, Christine Trimnell shared with us some links to websites that are valuable resources for the interactive whiteboard.
I hope that you find this useful and please excuse any hiccups as they are inevitable when trying something new with technology!

Hi ??
How pleasing it is to see a new blogger on the scene, (albeit anonymously)
. Nice to see that you got something out of our little session and that the rest of the conference met your needs too.
Cheers, (and keep on bloggin’)

Hi john,
I found your session very useful and user friendly.
Thanks for pointing out my anonymous status. This is still a working progress, as you are aware I’m fresh from the conference and I thought I had better use it or lose it! It’s a bit daunting but great to see a comment already!
Thanks
Judy

Hi Judy, you’ve done a fantastic job creating this, very clever. I’ve heard about blogs and blogging but to be perfectly honest haven’t had much experience with them! It’s a great way for teachers to see what activities children are doing during ICT and keep in touch with new programs through your responses to PD Sessions etc. Great to see students leaving comments too, great work Judy!

Hi Mrs Harrington,
I really like your blog. Thank you for putting the grade4 internet back on, I don’t think that we noticed that we didn’t have the internet because we had more time outside. Unless it’s raining, but anyway instead of playing on the internet we played board games and silent ball. Well not silent ball more like boys against girls and yell ball!!!! Thank you anyway.
